Finally, the last day of ACE team. Had a mixed feeling. Happy that finally I am leaving all the politics behind, sad that I am leaving such a wonderful team, excited to move on to a bigger challenge job and scared to start AAA rotation with Registrar that I do not know well. Life go on regardless...
Last week of ACE was a bit out of control. Patients were quite sick. I think I handle them pretty well. In this rotation, the total number of death is about 10 with 2 coroner case. One of them had a falll and fracture the C2 spine, refused neck collar, given some diazepam because she was really really anxious but ended up with aspiration pneumonia and died two days later.
But I think the best experience is having two interns working with me/for me. Having the opportunity to teach them, having the opportunity to learn from them. Really hope these few weeks made an impact in their career. I think they would be a good physicians. S** and M**c**, good luck in your future!!
